Sport leaders and volunteers are committed to creating positive and meaningful experiences for all participants. At the community level, the reality is that well intentioned volunteers often find themselves feeling overwhelmed, frustrated and stretched beyond their capacity to govern effectively.
Good governance doesn’t happen by accident. Good governance requires knowledge, competence, and a commitment to continuous learning. That’s why we’re inviting sport leaders at all levels to join us in a conversation to explore the fundamental principles of good governance and the practical first steps we can take to ensure we not only meet legal requirements but as importantly ethical imperatives.
Join Sport Law consultants Karri Dawson and Dina Bell-Laroche for an engaging conversation on why good governance matters, what’s standing in the way, and how we can put in place leading practices to minimize risk and strengthen decision making. Let’s equip our volunteers with the knowledge they deserve to take their governance to the next level.
