SLSG Announces New Associate - Lauren Brett

The Sport Law & Strategy Group is pleased to announce that former national team rhythmic gymnast and national team coach Lauren Brett, has joined our team as an Associate. Lauren is a professionally certified coach with the International Coach Federation (ICF) and has led one of Canada’s most successful performing arts colleges for almost two decades.

Lauren joins an existing group of eight other Associates, LJ Bartle, LeeAnn Cupidio, Kathy Hare, Kevin Lawrie, Adam Klevinas, Jason Robinson, Rosanna Tomiuk and Tia Wintre, and Partners Dina Bell-Laroche and Steve Indig. This brings our total team to 11 professionals located in three cities working to provide exceptional sport management services to our clients.

Over the past several years, the SLSG has been expanding its services to support leaders in their leadership development journeys. As a certified professional coach, Lauren joins Dina and Rosanna who have been offering leadership coaching to the sport community since 2014. “We are seeing more and more leaders come to us for leadership development opportunities like the Sport Leaders Retreat and who are looking for personal and professional guidance through professional leadership coaching,” shared Dina.

“We are proud to offer a range of individual, group, and cultural transformation coaching programs that will help sport leaders move through the complexities of running a 21st Century sport organizations, by building the meta skills of self-awareness, resilience, flexibility, and compassion. We simply can’t rely exclusively on the skills that created the environment we are in,” shared Steve.

“The experiences and lessons learned through sport have helped me expand my wings.  Sport has given me the gifts of resilience, courage, dedication, and determination. I have a deep appreciation for the journey and the struggle that sport leaders must navigate. I am delighted to be working with the Sport Law & Strategy Group to give back to the community who gave me so much,” shared Lauren.

Lauren was born and raised in Winnipeg, moving to Toronto to join the national team in rhythmic gymnastics as a teenager. She received her coach and leadership training through the Co-Active Training Institute in California and is certified in The Leadership Circle™ Profile 360 assessment tool. She is currently studying to become certified in Integral Coaching™. Lauren also has a private coaching practice where she supports leaders in other industries to develop their leadership capacity.
