Death Of A Dream

With athletes and coaches being forced to rethink, and possibly re-imagine their entire game plan in preparation for the Paralympic and Olympic Games, some might be experiencing anxiety, anger, and grief at the possibility of not competing. Moreover, with the cancellation of several world championships, some athletes and coaches may be feeling robbed of their final competition on the world stage. Sadly, our current North American culture is too often grief and mourning phobic, not equipped to provide a healthy and holistic approach to managing loss and reconciling grief. It is imperative for sport to better integrate grief and to understand the impact of accumulated losses as athletes transition through various stages of  development. In this 1 hour webinar, one of Sport Law & Strategy Group’s Partners, Dina Bell-Laroche, discusses a critical topic that provides much needed insight into the topic of grief, loss and hope for a better way.
