Michelle Kropp, B.Sc. (Hons), LL. B., began her legal career at a large full-service firm in Toronto. She transitioned to a smaller firm in Stratford shortly thereafter, where she enjoyed a diverse general practice. Following a move to the United States for several years, Michelle returned to Ontario and developed a litigation and appellate practice, both as a sole practitioner and in association. She joined Sport Law in 2020, and is finding her extensive litigation background and dispute resolution experience very useful.
Michelle graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, where she received awards for academic achievement and commitment to public service. Following that, Michelle was offered an entrance scholarship to the law school at University of Western Ontario, and graduated in 2004.
During her legal career, Michelle has appeared before several tribunals and all levels of court in Ontario. She advises a diverse client base, including various not-for-profit and sports organizations, during dispute proceedings as well as providing guidance on general governance issues.
Michelle is an active volunteer in her community and has been a part of many boards and advisory committees. She has two black belts in karate and shares her skills and knowledge as an instructor. Michelle also enjoys soccer, yoga, hiking, cycling, kayaking and camping with her husband, two children and dog.
