Jason Robinson

Jason Robinson, BHK, CP, joined Sport Law in 2015, after eighteen years working in professional and amateur sport. He specializes in event and travel risk management, sponsorship, and meeting procedures, as well as offering strategic services in planning, governance and member engagement. Jason is a Certified Parliamentarian with the American Institute of Parliamentarians.

Jason graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics, Sport Management Honours. His early work included golf course management and event operations with professional sport teams including D.C. United of Major League Soccer, the Toronto Argonauts, and the St. Kilda Saints Australian Football Club. Jason was the first-ever participant from UWindsor to complete a student exchange with the sport management program at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia.

After university, Jason managed an event crew that hosted mountain biking events across North America, he was a sponsorship manager for the Scott Tournament of Hearts, and he served for three years as the Marketing & Communications Director for Boxing Ontario. From 2006 – 2015 Jason served as Executive Director for the Toronto Ultimate Club, successfully leading the organization through two strategic planning cycles and a landmark facility partnership. In 2013, he was the Tournament Director for the World Under-23 Ultimate Championships.

On the playing field, Jason has won championships in basketball, soccer, cross-country and Australian Rules football. He was a five-time Ontario League All-Star and assistant captain for the Canadian Australian Football team which competed in the International Cup Championships in 2002 and 2005. Today, Jason continues to challenge himself by actively engaging in a variety of sports (Ultimate, basketball, curling, running, cycling and golf).
