Celia is a financial expert with over 15 years of experience in finance and accounting across diverse industries. She combines her passion for numbers with her love for people, sport, and leadership at Sport Law.

Celia earned a master’s degree in economics and became a certified accountant in Portugal, before moving back to Canada, where she obtained her CPA designation in 2015. She completed an MBA from Queen’s University in 2025, further enhancing her expertise.

Celia began her career as a financial accountant and cost controller in nickel mining, then transitioned to tax and audit management in the public sector. She later became an accounting manager in public accounting and now applies her entrepreneurial spirit to finance and accounting consulting. A seasoned team leader, she specializes in the full accounting cycle, payroll, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.

A lifelong athlete, Celia competed in swimming and various dance modalities and now enjoys working out, biking, and skiing with her family. She is also passionate about reading, refurbishing furniture, and maintaining her record of travelling every year since birth — even during the pandemic.
