At the Sport Law & Strategy Group we often say that the months leading up to an Olympic Games are our "legal Olympics". This is a time when we get very busy helping sport organizations manage the disputes that arise when athletes are named to, or left off, Olympic teams. In the spring of 2008, the Sport Law & Strategy Group organized an information seminar for summer sport leaders preparing for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Our purpose was to bring together bright minds and current resources to share best practices about preparing for, and carrying out, Olympic team selection so as to minimize the inevitable legal distractions and challenges. Presenters included Rachel Corbett, Hilary Findlay, Steve Indig, David Lech, Brian Ward and Leanne Standryk. This resource contains all of the materials from this seminar.
