Sport Law welcomes Karri Dawson to expand our governance and executive leadership services

April 2, 2026 (Ottawa, ON) - Sport Law is pleased to welcome Karri Dawson to our team, to expand our governance and executive leadership services.  

With more than 30 years of experience in not-for-profit and charitable sport, Karri brings a wealth of expertise in governance, executive leadership, organizational and program development, and strategic project management. Known for her dynamic, values-driven leadership, she has helped multiple national and international organizations navigate change, strengthen teams, and foster values-based cultures.  

 “Joining Sport Law allows me to continue contributing to sport in a way that aligns with my values. I look forward to working with leaders to strengthen governance, navigate change, build sustainable futures, and drive positive outcomes,” said Dawson.

Through Sport Law, Karri will work closely with sport organizations to strengthen governance practices, provide CEO and Executive Director support during transitions or periods of change, offer executive leadership guidance, and assist with complex projects requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership.

Karri is widely recognized as a thought leader and speaker, frequently sharing insights drawn from her work with the Canadian Centre for Ethics and Sport and the True Sport Foundation. She recently completed nine years on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s Education Committee, contributing to the development of global governance, education, and ethical standards for sport. Her combination of national leadership experience and international perspective further strengthens Sport Law’s ability to support organizations during critical moments of change and growth.
